NALCO Champion’s Sugar Land Campus
Sugar Land, Texas

Jackson & Ryan Architects provided master plan services for the NALCO Champion’s Sugar Land Campus to address short and long term growth following the purchase of an adjacent property. Services included needs assessment, programing, interviews with key members of the 11 divisions of the company, and budget analysis. The master plan responded to anticipated campus growth from 600 employees to over 1000 on the newly expanded 50 acre site. Eight new buildings and four renovations were integral to the 10 year plan that included a 1000 car parking garage, warehouses, office space, laboratories, and production facilities.

Particular concerns were site access, circulation and control. The new property would add a rail line spur into the center of the campus. Separate accommodations were required for Research and Business teams, visitors, production and shipping.
